Switchboard Modifications

The Elsteel modular switchboard system is extremely flexible and offers the following features:

  • Busbar systems up to 7200A 100KA
  • Front and Rear Access
  • Up to form 4 Type 7
  • Up to IP55
  • Tested to both IEC 60439-1 & 61439-1
  • Fixed, plug-in or withdrawable devices
  • Schneider, Terasaki, ABB, GE & Siemens devices



The above picture shows a 2500A switchboard we have recently supplied fitted with the following equipment:

  • Schneider NW ACB's and NSX MCCB's
  • Multi meters fitted with modbus communication wired back to a central network
  • Electrical and mechanical interlocking for the Mains/Generator ACB's
  • 250KVAR automatic PFC
  • TVSS type 1 & 2 protective device

    • Special incoming cable area for 2 x 600mm2 Cables per phase
    • form 4 Type 7
    • Rear area including cable management system
    • Side entry aluminium glanding for outgoing cables
